“If an act is simple, then you begin to realise its precision. One begins to realise that whatever we do in everyday life is beautiful and meaningful.”

Peace is attainable even if life seems demanding and you feel overwhelmed. And we don’t have to push ourselves into meditation, but just let be. In this community event, we will spend 60 minutes being slow, intentional and open, and experiencing the nowness quality in action, known as “shamatha” (Pali: Samatha), the development of peace. When we see the newness of the very moment, there is no room for anything but openness and peace.

N‍ext Practice: June 24/ Dates TBA

Booking is essential. A Zoom link with preparation details will be sent to you before the event. Donations are available with free tea for this event (shipping included).

A breakdown of this event:

1. Enter the great openness & self-love:

Practice creating great openness so that a feeling of space and ventilation naturally comes. Thus the absence of anxiety or struggle.

2. Develop peace through tea ritual:

With your preferred tea and brewing style, you will be guided to a tea practice focused on cultivating awareness and newness.

3. Sustaining peace in everyday life:

Learn the quick and easy ways to multiply moments of peace daily. The more integrated you are with them, the more radiant you will become for others in need.

    Cultural Significance

This practice is based on the Buddha’s teachings on The Four Noble Truths and the Hinayana Path, “the lesser vehicle”, the disciplined or narrow path. The methods adopted come from the teachings of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and his book <Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism>.
