茶倉 - Innate Knowing Tea Caddy
Handcrafted from Xiangfei bamboo and pure tin, this tea caddy serves as an elegant and practical container for storing loose leaf tea. It brings together two materials long cherished in Chinese tea culture—one for its warmth and sentiment, the other for its cooling nature and practical ability to protect what’s inside.
Each bamboo strip is carefully hand-cut, polished, and aligned—grain by grain—to form a seamless wrap around the cylindrical body. The natural patterns, often called “Xiangfei’s tears,” appear where age, humidity, and the nature of the bamboo leave their trace—no two are ever alike.
Inside, the food-safe tin lining is scent-neutral and naturally cooling, helping to maintain the clarity and freshness of your tea over time. The inner lid fits snugly beneath the cap, creating a soft seal that keeps out moisture, odour, and air—ideal for fragrant or aged teas that require stable conditions.
Its size and weight feel just right in the hand: solid yet light, simple yet thoughtful. Whether kept on a shelf or brought along when you travel, it brings a quiet deliberateness to the everyday rituals of brewing and enjoying tea.

Recipe Recommendation
Handwash with cold water and love. To protect the integrity of the bamboo, avoid pouring boiling water directly onto the caddy. Keep away from heat and radiator.
Cultural Significance
1. In Chinese tea culture, tin (锡, xī) is considered a refined and noble material, known not only for its cooling nature and non-reactive properties but also for its symbolic resonance. Often called the “green metal,” tin has long been used to store fine teas, herbs, and medicines due to its ability to protect against moisture, odour, and temperature shifts—all of which are vital to preserving the integrity of delicate teas.
2. Xiangfei Bamboo, also known as "Weeping Bamboo", carries deep poetic and emotional resonance in Chinese culture. According to legend, it is named after one of the Xiang River goddesses, often identified as the grieving consorts of Emperor Shun. When the emperor died during a journey south, the two concubines wept by the river, and their tears stained the bamboo, leaving behind the distinctive mottled markings now known as “Xiangfei’s tears” (湘妃泪痕).
Beyond its visual beauty, Xiangfei Bamboo symbolises devotion, remembrance, and quiet strength. It is prized not only for its fine grain and natural patterns, but also for the way it holds stories, etched not in ink, but in its very fibre.
