懷竹 急須臺 Cherished Bamboo Quick-Pour Teapot Stand
Though often a supporting role on the tea table, a good teapot stand is never an afterthought. For those who aspire for intentional living, every object at the tea table is an expression of the present moment.
This Bamboo Teapot Tray combines old tin sides with a handcrafted bamboo base made from Jiuyi Mountain's Meilu bamboo (also known as Xiangfei bamboo). Each slat is carefully arranged to reveal natural grain and subtle mottling, like tears on silk, adding a sense of quiet vitality to the piece.
With its warm, muted tones and balanced form, it lifts your teapot with grace while maintaining a humble presence. Suitable for Gongfu Cha, tea ceremony, dessert, or incense, it’s a versatile and thoughtful addition to any ritual setting.

Cultural Significance
1. Meilu Bamboo from Jiuyi Mountain (九嶷山梅鹿竹):
Meilu bamboo, native to Jiuyi Mountain, is prized for its fine grain and natural markings, often described as “teardrop patterns.” Traditionally linked to the legend of Xiang Fei (湘妃), it carries connotations of grace, mourning, and emotional depth, bringing poetic nuance to the tea table.
2. Old Tin (老锡) :
In traditional households, tin was often associated with longevity, purity, and quiet endurance—qualities aligned with the inner cultivation encouraged through tea practice.
In Gong Fu Cha, old tin is valued for its restrained lustre, stability, and purity, offering a grounding presence that doesn’t distract from the tea. Its subtle patina deepens with time, reflecting the beauty of impermanance.
