A repeatedly roasted, boldly oxidised (80%) dark Oolong, crafted by Master Lin in late autumn. As one of the most cherished teas featured in our Subscription Box, we hope this unique seasonal batch will touch your heart as it continually touches ours.

Despite its heavy oxidation, this tea does not present as "intense" in the way you might expect from dark roasted Oolongs. The journey begins gently, likely evoking memories of childhood fruit sweets. As the leaves unfurl over the next two or three re-brews, the flavours and aromas gradually reveal their fuller, more playful personalities. From sweet meadows and dried fruits to dark chocolate and aged incense, you will find yourself swaying between the comforting notes of red tea, the earthiness of black tea, and a hint of Da Hong Pao in between.

Named 暗香 Hidden Fragrance by Master Lin and carefully stored until its official release in Winter 2024, we particularly appreciate the graceful journey this tea unfolds, unlike any other we’ve experienced. May it bring you the joy of exploration as well.
